Our name
Vuya is isiXhosa for pleased. Next to Wood, it makes a name that is South African and about the craft.
Vuya means being happy, joyful or pleased. That is the feeling we want you to have when you walk into a room we've worked on.
When something is made with care, you can see it and you can feel it.
Our approach
Premium, not pretentious: between mass-produced cupboards and ultra-luxury joinery.
We're not trying to be the cheapest, the biggest or the most luxurious. We want you to get something properly made without paying for things you don't need.

How we work
Four steps, from your first message to the last door.
Ask for a quote
Tell us what you'd like made and where. Photos of the space help.
We measure and draw it
We take the sizes and draw it in 3D, so you see it before anything is cut.
We build it in Paarl
Carcasses, doors and shelves are made in our workshop in Daljosafat.
We fit it and finish it
We bring it in, fit it to the wall, hang the doors and set the handles.
Our workshop
Everything is built and finished in Daljosafat, then fitted by us.
We work from 20 De Vreugde Crescent in Daljosafat Industrial, Paarl. Cupboards, doors, shelves and custom pieces are built there, then brought to your home and fitted.
